Don’t waste your money. The pup will be fine in a crate for this amount of time.
Where I live dog walkers or dog day care is about $30 a day. If you only need help for 3 hours a week perhaps you can work out a special price with someone. I would look in your local paper for dog day care or doggie walkers. You can also ask your vet if they have any contacts they can suggest. My vets assistant does home day care for small dogs. Good luck.
Actually, you could save a lot of money if you buy a crate that will fit your puppy comfortably. It will not hurt him to be crated for 3 or 4 hours two times a week. It is also a great way to house-break puppies. A large crate will cost you around 50 to 60 dollars, and once you start working longer hours, your puppy will adjust as he gets older.
Doggie Day Care usually runs half day or full day and ranges from 15 to 25 dollars per session. Packages are also available for monthly rates.
A dog walker is fairly cheap (usually around 10 dollars per walking session), but you need to find someone who is insured and bonded if they have access to your house.
