I'm interested in putting my puppy in Dog Day care, but will it hurt his housebreaking?

I don't want him to be able to just go to the bathroom everywhere at the dog day care and then come home and do that in the house, what do you think? He's 10 weeks old.
The dogs at these places are required to have had their shots, is there still that much of a risk?

he needs to finish his vaccinations anyway before he is with other dogs. he’s too little for dog day care. you don’t want him to get sick. wait until you have all his shots done. rabies should be his last puppy vaccine. then i would call the day care and ask where the dogs are allowed to use the bathroom. they may take them outside.

First of all that wasn’t nice Hewitt Kitkat. Anyway if he pees or poops there they will most likely teach the dog for you, if that doesn’t work then send your dog to obedience school which should have him out of the house while you are out of the house and he will be trained at the same time.
    Hope that helps!

Most, if not all, Doggy Day Care’s will not accept dog that have not had all their shots or who have not been spayed/neutered.

Your pup shouldn’t be exposed to any other dogs, other than your own, until it’s had it’s complete round of vaccinations.

I work at a daycare for dogs and none of our personal dogs (who come with us everyday we work) haven’t shown any confusion, even the puppies. It seems like they can tell the difference because at daycare the smells of urine and doody are everywhere, but in the home the smells are minimal. It would also be worth having a break from your puppy to renew your patience! Daycare is a wonderful place for puppies to learn how to be social and just blow of steam. But i would like to clear up a comment made by another contributor: we do not train dogs at daycare. We play with them and care for them but we will not teach them anything that doesn’t deal with their own and the safety of others. Good luck with your pup!
If you’re worring about the risk of your puppy getting sick, the dogs rarely /ever/ get sick. they have to have their shots because when so many animals live together it’s easy for germs to spread just like at a school. The worst we ever get at our daycare is a mild case of kennel cough when a vaccine fails. And puppies that are to young to defend themselves are not permitted. The risk is minimal /because/ all dogs have their shots. If our dogs were getting sick often, nobody would bring them back so we are very careful with our constant cleaning insure your satisfaction to our ability.
