I have a german short hair pointer she 3 and a half months old. I want to train her to bird hunt but don’t know how. I have pheasant bird scent liquid, but don’t no how to get her started and once she started what to do next. please say if you have any experience
and i cant train in a field all the time
like are back yard is were i would have to starte her

Alot of places train dogs to hunt. We got my rabbit dogs trained in a week at a place for cheap, I’ve hunted rabbits 10 years+ and they are the best dogs I’ve ever had.
you could probably start out by going hunting with her and pointing in what direction the pheasant may be. if gunshots are the problem then just start out by shooting low caliber bullets next to the dog, such as .22’s. that should help a bit.
